June 13th - Lyons, KS to Marion County Lake, KS
Day 9 - June 13th, 2005
Today was a great day for riding; winds SSW assisted nicely, as we traveled 63 miles eastward. We are camping at Marion Lake (like a state camp would be like). Showers have hot water and were likewise great.
We are at least three days away from closing in on the Katy Trail in Missouri.

P.S. Beautiful campground – best so far – huge lake – one old guy said he caught a catfish and a drum – he also said there's bluegill, crappie, walleye and the like. Wind has picked up as always in the afternoon, but we made a wind break for our kitchen, and we are taking turns boiling our water for our various instant-type meals.
